Our practice is deeply inspired by the work of Ido Portal, whose movement philosophy challenges conventional fitness and explores the human body’s potential through play, adaptability, and most importantly, practice. What Is the Ido Portal Method?
At its core, the Ido Portal Method is not a training program, nor even a method really. It’s a lens—a way of looking at the body, no, the person – as an integrated, adaptable, ever-evolving system. It blends elements from dance, martial arts, gymnastics, locomotion, acrobatics, and strength training into a single, dynamic approach to physical practice. More important than the disciplines it blends, is the perspective from which the work begins.
Key principles of the our approach:
- Movement Over Muscle – Instead of focusing solely on isolated strength, we train for coordination, balance, mobility, and adaptability. We aim for overall strength in all angles, at all times!
- Play as a Tool – Play isn’t just for children; it’s how we learn. You’ll laugh, fail, and explore your limits in every session. Tasks, games, and partnering will make your progress feel like fun.
- Discipline + Curiosity – We dive deep into patterns, skills, and practices that reward patience and consistency. We focus on educating our students to develop “movement intelligence” that helps them adapt to new situations faster.

We don’t copy-paste Ido’s training. We embody the philosophy and adapt it to our students, our space, and our culture.
